BioStack sessions are provided via a browser-based game client. The game connects to servers operated by Intactis Bio Corp. over the internet. The quality of your experience depends on factors including but not limited to your internet connection, network latency, browser performance, and our server availability.
BioStack is a biohybrid experience. Your opponent is driven by a live culture of biological neurons when that culture is available and in the loop. To ensure that every scheduled session runs, the system includes automatic, seamless failover: if the live culture is unavailable or degraded at match time, the session continues without interruption on a simulation. You acknowledge that you may not be able to tell which mode is active during any given moment of play, and that a running session is not a representation that live neurons drove any particular moment of it.
BioStack is offered as an entertainment and research experience only. It is not a medical device, medical service, diagnostic tool, or treatment, and nothing about BioStack should be construed as a medical or health claim.
Each scheduled session is single-player: one player per scheduled session, with no spectators, queue, or concurrent players. The auction for a session closes one hour before the scheduled match time.
By participating in BioStack sessions, you acknowledge and accept the following risks:
Intactis Bio Corp. does not guarantee that sessions will be available every scheduled day. Hardware maintenance, software updates, or other operational needs may require session cancellation. In the event of cancellation after payment, a full refund will be issued.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
During your session, you are granted temporary access to a restricted environment on our hardware. You agree that:
Video games may cause discomfort in some individuals, including but not limited to eye strain, motion sickness, or photosensitive reactions. If you experience any discomfort during gameplay, stop immediately. Intactis Bio Corp. is not liable for any health-related effects from gameplay.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Intactis Bio Corp., its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
If any provision of this waiver is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
This waiver is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware for any disputes arising from this waiver.
This waiver, together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Auction Rules, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Intactis Bio Corp. regarding BioStack sessions.
